Explore over city streets, rugged and unpaved roads; walk over rough, steep, and sometimes slippery paths without handrails; and climb many high and uneven stone steps at Inca sites.
Discounts apply to anyone who has a valid STUDENT CARD at the time of the journey (Students must be under 25 years of age) or who is 17-years-old or younger. The discount is $25 USD per person.
To book a tour you need to enter in contact with our consulters and make an initial payment of 350.USD per person, the remaining balance can be paid online in full or installments up to 30 days prior to start date, or in cash on our office upon your arrival. Also, we are going to require a scanned copy of your passport.
After lunch, we will drive through the Sacred Valley to Ollantaytambo, a checkpoint of the Incas, where they protected Machu Picchu against any enemy. This is the best example of an intact Inca city, where we will visit the famous living Inca town with their pathways of water through the picturesque streets of the city, the archeological center with its terraces and temples, then we will have lunch in this quaint town before.
After Lunch, we boarding the train to the town of Aguas Calientes where we will transfer to our cozy hotel. There you will get enough free time to explore the village or enjoy some drinks from Peru, like the pisco sour.
Today we will give our best to wake up early and board one of the first buses to Machu Picchu, with the intention to be one of the first to arrive to be able to appreciate the sunrise over the mountains of Machu Picchu and have a pleasant guided tour without many tourists, because after 8 am lots of groups are arriving at the site.
After the guided tour which lasts 2 hours approximately, we will return to the town of Aguas Calientes for lunch and then board the train to Ollantaytambo where our transportation will be waiting to transfer us to our hotel in the Sacred Valley (Urubamba).
After breakfast at 6:30, we will go to the Salineras / salt mines of Maras. There are 3000 pools of salt on the mountainside, which act as evaporation chambers. These pools became the main economic activity for all the local inhabitants.
After the salt mines, we will go to the Archaeological site of Moray. The Inca used Moray as a way of studying agriculture. They built terraces in a huge pit to experiment with different vegetables in different levels of altitude. You will see each terrace and the differences of level altitudes.
Then we will go to Chinchero, where we will see some Inca terraces, used as the perfect place to grow potatoes. All of the Inca civilization got the supply of potatoes from here. We will also visit the colonial church, which was built by the Spanish over the Inca palace. Finally, we will visit a textile center where we will have lunch with their members, then they will show us their art inherited from the Incas, we will also be part of each stage for a unique experience. Then you will have free time for shopping and financially contribute to these villagers in their textile center.
Finally, we will continue our trip to the city of Cusco.
Today we will head towards the archaeological complex of Sacsayhuaman, which is characterized by its construction with huge rocks that weigh tons, then we will arrive at Kenko the funeral ceremonial center of the Incas.
Afterward, we will go to the archaeological center of Pisac, where we will explore their homes, streets, terraces, temples built based on stone and mortar on the crest and slope of a hill. We will return to the town of Pisac to visit the market and have our lunch, then return to Cusco passing through and visiting the archaeological site of Tambomachay and Pukapukara.
Today, we will take you to the airport for your flight back home or to your next destination.
